 Users find continuous password changing for many systems annoying
 Globally users are not aware of developed reports in BI , SEM systems ..

Build a common Reporting platform using SAP Enterprise Portal (SAP EP is a component in SAP NW suite)
 Publish the reports from different backend applications like R/3 (ECC), APO, BW/BI and BCS/BPC.

Inter-plant Procurement Automation using EDI
Business Scenario
 Customer is a leading Semiconductor Tool Manufacturer, USA. EDI Direction – Inbound and Outbound
 USA plant used SAP whereas Baan was being using in Europe plants. Requirement was that USA plant
buys materials from Europe by placing a purchase order and Europe had to acknowledge the PO’s which
had to update the PO in SAP.
Anantara’s Solution
Anantara developed a fully automated solution in SAP through the ABAP interfaces and integration with Baan.
Outbound Interfaces
 Configured the PO message type and mapped all the fields required by Baan and SAP.
 At the save of the PO, an EDI message is triggered from SAP which would capture all the required data by
Baan and create a XML File and transmit it to Baan to create a Sales order.
Inbound Interfaces
 Baan system will send a PO acknowledgement in the Form of XML file which SAP would receive and
populate the Required IDOC with the OA details and the PO was updated with OA date & quantities.

Inter-company PO and Delivery Integration using EDI
Business Scenario
 Customer is a leading Auto Ancillary , USA. EDI Direction – Outbound
 Requirement was to develop automate the Inter-company PO and delivery process between the two group
companies (two SAP systems).
Anantara’s Solution
Anantara integrated the two SAP systems in different landscape through ABAP interfaces and RFCs.
Outbound Interfaces
 Configured the EDI message type and mapped all the fields in the two SAP systems
 Developed ABAP interfaces and custom programs using onsite – offshore model
 PO details would be sent from 1st SAP systems and it will create SO in 2nd SAP system.
 When the good are ready to be shipped, delivery documents are created in the 2nd SAP system (delivering
company). This triggers an EDI message which will send the delivery details to the 1st system (ordering
company).

 Efficient procurement cycle and better visibility in the overall supply chain

Integration of SCM software and SAP using BAPIs
Business Scenario
 Customer is a manufactures of SCM software and sells the products in USA.
 Requirement was to integrate the SCM software with the SAP systems at end clients using ABAP BAPIs
 Later these BAPIs were converted as ready-to-deploy Adaptors in the SCM software
Anantara’s Solution
Anantara developed BAPIs to integrate the SCM software with the SAP systems at end client
 Extract the master & transaction data from the SAP systems and update SCM software on a Oracle
database. Also the planning results were extracted from Oracle database and updated back into SAP.
 Scope included: Material Master, Bill of materials, Quota arrangement, Demand Management,
Transportation lanes, planning books, Planned orders & purchase requisitions.
 For each data transfer, a BAPI was designed and developed. JCo connectors was the middleware used and
the BAPI’s were triggered using XML files
 All the specific BAPIs were converted into generic BAPIs and ready-to-deploy Adaptors were build.
Benefits
 Low TCO due to lean onsite team and all developments being done from offshore
 SCM software was successfully deployed at 7 end customer sites.\
 Ready-to-deploy Adapters created.

 The customer is India’s largest automotive manufacturer in passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
 The customer has thousands of suppliers. The customer has implemented SAP SRM for its strategic vendors (top 500
vendors) to collaborate on forecasts, orders, schedules, GR, invoices and payments.
 For the other vendors, the customer wants to implement a Supplier Portal since SAP SRM licensing is too expensive to
justify a SAP SRM access to all suppliers.
Our Solution
 Our team has implemented a SAP NetWeaver based Supplier Collaboration Portal for the non-strategic vendors.
 These vendors have usually 1 transaction per month.
 The SAP based Supplier Portal provides the capabilities for Supplier Self Service; the supplier can download their PO,
upload shipment notification, download GR, upload Invoices and check the payment status of invoices.
 The Portal allows a vendor to have multiple user accounts for their various departments. The Vendor administrator can
update their master data related to Tax ID, address, email, phone numbers etc.
Benefits to the customer
 The Supplier Collaboration Portal has provided tremendous benefits related to Supplier satisfaction and visibility of their
interaction with the customer.
 The customer call center has reduced number of phone calls from vendors asking for payment status of their invoices.
 The customer is getting higher data quality since the data is being validated in the SAP Portal (due to integration to SAP
ECC).

 The customer is engaged in manufacturing and trading of specialty chemicals.
 Their Printer business unit is engaged in buying and selling of laser printer consumables, inks and toners for the North
American market.
 For the Printer business, their customers are the OEMs, retain chains and hardware stores. Currently, all orders are being
taken by the sales team on the phone and email. All order status and follow-up is being done on the phone and email.
Our Solution
 To handle increased order volume and improve customer satisfaction, the customer intended to implement a Customer
Portal where their customers could place orders from the online catalog, and check on the order / delivery status.
 Our team has built the Customer Portal with integration to SAP ECC.
 The Customer Portal has to provide customer specific catalog, and the customer specific pricing. All data is being provided
by SAP ECC, and the current processes for maintaining pricing are continuing.

 The Customer Portal has increased order volumes and order frequency. The customers are able to place orders at their
convenience without the need to call the sales person or email them.
 The sales team has significantly reduced workload related to managing customer orders. They can focus on expanding
