Apps
The term "app" is a shortening of the term "application software” and
commonly refers to programs for mobile devices. A mobile app is a
computer program designed to run on smartphones, tablets, and other
mobile devices.
The explosion in number and variety of apps made discovery a challenge,
which in turn led to the creation of a wide range of review, recommendation,
and dedicated online app-discovery services. (wikipedia, 2014)

Great App Review Sites
edululu.org
– Created for parents and teachers, EduLulu is the first public evaluation
service for educational apps available in Canada. EduLulu’s evaluations
are the work of teams of independent experts, including teachers,
parents, ergonomists, and designers.
(Under categories choose “Language Skills” and look for apps with ‘f’ or ‘e/f’)
Appyfamily.wordpress.com
– Great little site with only a few apps recommendations, but there is
always a free app of the week.
(Under ‘Categories’ choose “French”)
Don’t forget to look at related or similar apps often listed at the bottom of
the purchase page.
