Designated Professions/ Sectors
(SSSDP)

Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/ Sectors

a new subsidy scheme initiated by the Education Bureau to
subsidise up to 1,000 students per cohort to pursue
designated full-time locally-accredited self-financing
undergraduate programmes in selected disciplines to nurture
talents to meet Hong Kong's social and economic needs.
The unit subsidy will be administered by a two-tier arrangement
subsidy of up to $40,000 is provided to non-laboratorybased programmes
subsidy of up to $70,000 is provided to more costly
programmes which are laboratory-based.

ensure eligible students are selected through a
merit-based system
- Each programme under SSSDP has a JUPAS code

exam marks will be calculated for SRR rating.
2. We do not include "Below Average" as one of the
ratings for our students.
The percentile (& rating in JUPAS SRR) and our
grading system (in the ReportCard) are not the
same.
