WiPipe Central Benefits
Deployment Benefits
 Reduces or eliminates initial on-site configuration by




enabling the router to automatically download and apply its
target configuration.
Reduces time to resolve installation issues, since central IT
resources can assist the on-site installer in real-time to
identify and troubleshoot issues.
Remote installation and troubleshooting; remote engineers
can test and configure the CradlePoint router and ensure
the 3G/4G primary/failover connectivity is working properly
with the required signal strength and throughput.
Firmware and configuration updates can be applied
automatically by adding the CP router to a managed group.
Eliminate secondary ‘truck rolls’ by enabling remote
management and troubleshooting capabilities.

WiPipe Central Benefits
Manage CradlePoint Router Benefits
 Manage the firmware and configuration in groups of
CradlePoint routers. This saves time and helps ensure
firmware and configurations are consistent and up-to-date
across the network.
 Manage and troubleshoot the CradlePoint router over either
the primary or failover 3G/4G connection.
 Real-time alerts - administrators can define custom alerts to
monitor routers, connections and data plans. Alerts can be
provided via email or via API to another application.
 Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.

This translates to cost savings and reduced risk.
 View and manage 3G/4G data usage analytics to optimize
plan usage and lower costs. Administrators can monitor site
data usage and negotiate plans to minimize cost of service.
 Connection statistics allow administrators to manage
Service Level Agreements effectively.

WiPipe Central Benefits
PCI Compliance and Security Benefits
 PCI compliance requires that critical firmware updates be installed within one
month of release. WPC enables network administrators to upgrade their entire
population of routers automatically.
 Simplifies centralized password management on a regular basis.
 Enables consistent application of and updates to firewall and security
configuration policies, with unauthorized local changes denied.
 Ensures that individual network segments (Ethernet ports, WiFi SSIDs, VLANs
and WANs) are locked down, so that unauthorized changes are automatically
reversed by WPC.
 Logs data required for PCI compliance. WPC stores the system logs for each
router so that user access and configuration changes are recorded.
 Automatically synchronizes the router system time with an external time
server, eliminating a known method of hiding unauthorized access and
configuration changes.
 WPC security alerting upon unauthorized login attempts and configuration
changes, WAN connection changes, and modem removal.
 Automates the configuration of secure WAN connectivity via VPN, IPsec,
GRE, or other protocols.
