• PLUS Expressway Berhad (PEB), Malaysia is Asia’s largest and World’s sixth Largest
Toll Concession Company operating 968 Kilometers of Toll Concessions
• PEB is partially held by Government of Malaysia and is listed on Kuala Lumpur Stock
Exchange with annual revenues of USD 450 Mn and cash profit of USD 16 Mn
• PEB and CMCL relationship goes back to 2004 when CMCL assisted it in entering Indian
market. CMCL is currently a minority shareholder with PEB in its Indian Subsidiary
namely PLUS BKSP Toll Limited (“PBTL”). anoop gupta is on the board of PBTL

•Raised US$ 35 mn of local debt with no guarantee from PEB or its bankers
•Managed construction period extension of 219 days - additional revenue US$ 5.8 mn
•Refunded PEB preference capital of US$ 3 mn through bank borrowing before
completion of construction
•Extension to construction period led to commencement of toll 187 days ahead of
schedule though actual construction was considerably delayed
•Two rounds of re-phasing of local debt including one enhancement to meet cost

entrepreneur in the power industry. He has worked as Chief Project Officer (Eastern Region) with Jyoti
Structures Ltd where he headed prestigious World Bank Projects

CPPL has an advisory council of dedicated professionals who have served at key positions in companies
and utilities like ABB, AES, Bhusan Steel, Nava Bharat Group, Power Grid Corporation and Orissa Power
Transmission Corporation Ltd
CPPL (through PPAL) currently has projects in hand with contract value of Rs. 69.09 Crores


CPPL is in advanced discussions for partnership with a leading Malaysian company with expertise in
power and civil infrastructure. The ~$400 Mn Malaysian company is one of the largest developers of
transmission lines in Malaysia and has the Employee Provident Fund of Malaysia (asset base of $100
Billion) as its single largest shareholder (~41%)

The Malaysian company has expressed its definite interest in joining with CPPL and has already bid in
consortium with CPPL for a 220 km transmission line project in India
