Our first exchange project was in 2006-2007 . 9 catering students travelled to Szentendre Hungary for three weeks. Since then each year we have sent catering students to Hungary. In 2007-2008 a second mobility project was created for our Tourism students. 10 Tourism students travelled to Kuressaare – Estonia. A total of 10 Art and Fashion students travelled to work in Florence, the heart of art culture in Europe. Our Art & Fashion students enjoyed the experience and by all accounts it was a tremendous success! The booklet was entitled ‘2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion’. We are also been included in a study on the impact of mobility projects under Life Long Learning Programme. The study will be launched this November at a conference. We are currently ranked in the top five schools in Ireland providing mobility projects.
