• Every student gets an index card
• On each index card, the student has to identify specific properties of that shape,
without saying the shape’s name
• Students take turns and try to guess each others’ shapes based on clues- they track
how many clues it took for them to guess the shape correctly
Have a conversation after and talk about big ideas, such as:
• A square is a special kind of rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square
• Many polygons are also parallelograms
