Утвердительные предложения
have/has + been + Ving
Mary and Emily have been

have/has + not + been + Ving
Mary and Emily have not been
playing tennis for 2 hours.
Mary has not been reading books for
2 days.
Вопросительные предложения
1. Has Emily been playing tennis for 2 hours?
2. Has Emily been playing for 2 or for 3
hours?
3. Who has been playing tennis for 2 hours?
4. How long have they been playing tennis?
5. They have been playing tennis for 2 hours,
haven’t they?

Случаи употребления
Как правило, указывается период времени, в течение
которого происходит действие. Период времени
может быть выражен:
обстоятельствами времени типа: all my
life, all these years, lately;
обстоятельствами времени,
вводимыми предлогом for: for a week, for 5
years;
обстоятельствами времени,
вводимыми словом since

Present Perfect Progressive
не употребляется
1. С глаголами, обозначающими состояние:
to love, to remember, to see, to hate, to forget,
to hear, to know, to be, to have, etc.
2. Если имеется полное отрицание действия.
I haven’t played the guitar since I broke my
arm.
Употребляется Present Perfect.
