The aim of the company KASI, spol. s r.o. was the construction of the grey iron and
ductile iron foundry and providing castings for its own use and for commercial use
without dependence on the other suppliers according to the latest trends, including
product innovation.

melting is provided in the twin medium-frequency furnace system with the capacity 2 x 6 tons
with a 4MWh power drain
melting furnaces are operated on the principle MELT & HOLD
melting capacity is 6 tons per hour and daily melting capacity is 144 tons
hoods of the furnaces are equipped with exhaust shutters, which are connected by pipeline
to the filter station
for the production of ductile iron an equipment for the modification of metal through the use
of filled profile was installed
The productivity of the automatic moulding line is 200 full moulds per hour.
Moulding runs on the principle of compacted mould by pressed air with the following finishpressing. Uniform bentonite mixture produced in the sand department in the close proximity of
the line is used for the molding.
Casting operation is done by the automatic casting device which is equipped with a device for
inoculation of the cast iron in the stream of liquid metal.
The cores are made by COLD-BOX technology on two shooting machines LAEMPE 10th LL.
The follow-up technology after the molding line is a cooling tunnel. After the shake-out castings
follow a finishing operations cycle according to the customers‘ requirements. Blasting is done by
continuous blasting unit.
