Ensuring Success for Commuters
Attend OnTheGo Events

 Meet other students in your classes;
 Give yourself a break between classes;
 Be focused on Time Management;
 Utilize campus resources – Library,

Beware of Transfer Shock
Your GPA does NOT transfer.
This is not like your previous college or university – do
not assume UNCG does things the same way.
Students who use the Student Success Center, Writing
Center, and Speaking Center are more likely to do better
in classes and have higher GPAs.
Adult students – don’t “parent” your traditional aged
If you are a transfer student coming into a program in
Junior year – ask about department/faculty protocols.
Transfers – hold on to your Transcripts.
