We are going to practice synthesis as we read today. I am going to read
The Sweetest Fig a loud to you and as we discuss the book we will be
able to see synthesis at work. We will see how our thoughts change as
we think about the text. As we apply our schema and we make
connections new things will become aware to us in the text.
We also are going to look for evidence in the book about our characters.
