PROGRAM STRUCTURE


PROGRAM DURATION: 4 -5 YEARS

Preparatory Classes of 3 weeks will commence prior the start of the
semester

Coursework (Year 1 & 2)

Summer Paper (End of Year 1)

Qualifying Exams (End of Year 2)
All students must clear the department QE (comprising of 3-4 papers) by the end of the
second year.
To clear the QE, the student must obtain a pass grade on all papers tested in the QE.
Students who failed may be given (at the discretion of the department) one more chance
to redo the QE, taken not more than 3 months, but not less than 1 month, after the first
trial

Thesis Writing, Submission and Defense (Year 3 & beyond)
