




Myth Number 1 – Successful age group athletes will turn into
international athletes
Myth Number 2 – Fast tracking young age group athletes will help
them become better, faster.
- Systems don’t produce athletes on their own. Singular coach-athlete
long term relationships produce the performance
- Each of you ask yourself today what you can do to help to put an
athlete or athletes on the team in Rio and beyond.
- For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is
the Pack. Rudyard Kipling,
“We would like to thank you once again and look forward to the
launch this coming Saturday and the possibilities that will come with
being part of these squads.”
“Thank you for this email. Wow what an honour”
“That sounds fab, thank you”
“is super excited about been picked for the Bronze squad.”
“We are looking forward to attending the launch of this exciting new
venture on Saturday and hearing more about the Canterbury Squad”
“I wish you and the other coaches well with the pathways
programme. I think it is a fantastic incentive for swimmers and we are
lucky that the Canterbury WC Region has motivated people such as
yourself to action new ideas”
