 Name the groups – Bee, Wasp, Jacket…

Formations
 Name the formations – Doubles, Ace, Trips…
▪ Add backfield adjustments – Strong, Weak, Wing…
 R & L word formations – River/Lake, Randy/Larry..
 Number system – 1, 2, 3, 4…
 Signal for formation strength

Motions
 Who is motioning – RB, WR, TE…
 How are they motioning

3 Distinct Tempos
Hurry Up / Indy – Snap within first 5 seconds of
play clock
 May limit your personnel groups, formations, motions
and play calls

Normal / Attack – Snap the ball as soon as
possible
 Use all personnel groups, formations, motions and all
play calls

Look / Peek – Built-in advantage check system
 Align quick and examine the defense
 Choose to run play or advantage check

Indy Tempo Cadence
 Must be quick
 Not a lot of time to change play
 Foot pump or Simple “Go”, “Hike”

Attack Tempo Cadence





Should have a good amount of time
Build in QB advantage check possibilities
Need to be able to vary cadence in this tempo
Multiple foot pumps, “Color #” system
Peek Tempo Cadence




Must get aligned quick
Build in a point in the cadence to peek for play change
After first foot pump






