RADIO ACTINIUM
In 1906 Hahn visited Montreal where he investigated
alpha rays of radio actinium with Ernest Rutherford.

In 1921, with Meitner, they made a very important
discovery of Uranium Z – the first example of nuclear

MATHEMATICS OF NUCLEAR FISSION
In 1939 Hahn and his group discovered the basic

NOBEL PRIZE
In 1944 Hahn won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for the work in
discovering Nuclear Fission. He did not include Meitner.
