General Findings
• Cash Book
– Maintained on double entry system but proper columns
are not available……Hands-on Training is needed in all
places.
– Not closed on monthly basis or on annual basis.
– Balances are not drawn at any point of time, in the
absence of the same it is not possible to tally with the
bank pass book.
• Combined cash book and bank accounts are
maintained for both Primary schools and CRCs which
need to be maintained separately.
• Single account of RMSA and SSA in GGSSS (School-1)
Procurement
• Normally no quotations are obtained for
purchases of the value of Rs. 3000 (State Govt.
prescribed ceiling)
• Less than this value single 2of procurement is
followed.
• In school no. 3 we found quotations were
obtained for procurement fire extinguisher and it
resulted in huge savings in the purchase. This
points to the advantages of obtaining quotations
for all purchases.
