DAY 2 FINGER FAMILY SONG http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJyNoFkud6g DAY 3 PICTURE COLLAGE Children are asked to bring in pictures (the day before) to make a collage of their family. Children then talk about the different members of their family and talk about who they are. DAY 4 FAMILY OF SHAPES Children are asked to use different types of shapes to create themselves or a family member of their choice. DAY 5 FAMILY GATHERING Parents are welcomed to child’s classroom and asked to bring a dish of their culture. Students can present their family members to each other and talk about what they like to do as a family together. FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES Children will be able to make finger puppets for the “Finger Family Song” Children can make musical instruments based from their culture. Children can learn about different countries, some of where the families they have met where from.
